About Me
I’ve been many things and served in many roles in my life.
Professionally, I earned a B.S. in Computer Science when the Internet was in it’s infancy. I’ve developed digital flight control systems in F-16, started my own web design, development and hosting company, designed digital art and media, and even chased storms and climbed on top of and underneath homes as an insurance adjuster. I’ve served as a leader, business owner, teacher and speaker.
Personally, I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky where I developed a love for basketball and creativity. I moved to Dallas, Texas in the late 80’s where I fell in love with my beautiful bride and built a life with her that neither of us imagined when we started our journey together. I became a father, having raised two boys who are now incredible young men. I’ve been a published artist and writer. I am a husband, father and friend.
I discovered my Passion when given an opportunity to serve as a guide and mentor at a life skills training program in Dallas. I came to recognize my desire to connect, teach and guide others. I returned to school and earned my Masters in Counseling, serving my practicum at Sante Center for Healing, an addiction recovery facility. I began practicing at a handful of larger practices and faith based clinics in Texas before branching out on my own and focusing more on my passion of couples, self-esteem and addiction. As an extension of this work I became a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) and a trauma specialist with Emotional Transformational Therapy (ETT). Faith is an important part of my life and I welcome the opportunity to incorporate it into my work when requested by clients.
Want to know more about me? If all of this wasn’t enough, then you’re welcome to dive a little deeper, but the real way to learn more is to work with me.
